Cancer Outcomes: Stage at Diagnosis

This website presents the percentages of ten malignant cancers (excluding non-melanoma skin cancer) diagnosed as early stage (TNM 1 or 2) in England. Results are presented by CCG and financial quarter.

How to use these graphs

The CCG of interest can be selected from the drop down menu above, with England also being available to view. The CCG may also be selected by typing the desired CCG name in the select box (you must delete the current CCG first). Only one CCG will be displayed at a time. Two lines will be displayed - the thin red line is the proportion of cancers diagnosed at an early stage for each financial quarter, and the thick blue line represents a yearly rolling average.

The second drop down box will allow you to select another CCG to display, allowing two to be compared. The comparison CCG is displayed as a green dashed line. If you do not wish to see another CCG displayed then select 'NA'.

The tick box labelled 'Display Confidence Intervals' will show confidence intervals with a thin dashed line for each proportion already on the display.

The 'Download the data' button will allow all the percentages for every CCG and quarter, plus their confidence intervals, to be downloaded as a .csv file.

The 'Download the graph' button will allow an image of the graph with the currently selected CCG, CCG reference and confidence intervals (in .png format) to be downloaded.
